Irelands’ leading fashion extravaganza, West Coast Cooler FashIonWeek, launched its eighth year and thirteenth season of exciting shows and fashion events recently. Celebrating spring/ summer 2012 ’s key trends including pastels, sports luxe and shimmer, the programme – which runs from 14-18 March - includes five days of catwalk shows, master classes, the Culloden ’s Fashion Teas and the popular style sunday event - and it promises to have something to suit fashion fans of all ages and tastes.

Martin, to find out what looks will be sizzling on the catwalks of the spring summer shows happening at the Europa FashionWeek centre on 14,15 and 16 March, from 8pm.
Cathy said: “The start of the spring/ summer season is an exciting time for lovers of bright patterns, light fabrics and open toed footwear. We can say goodbye to our heavy winter coats and woolly jumpers and say a big hello to maxi dresses, midi skirts, wedges and colourful prints in a dizzying array of fabrics.

He tells us how he first got into music, among other things. 'I had an interest in all sorts of music from a very early age and played a number of instruments when I was at school. When I was growing up, I used to tape the Top 40 and listened to the radio at home rather than watch TV. I persuaded my parents to buy me some DJ equipment when I was 14 which resulted in my first mobile disco.'
