Northern Woman (NW) is Northern Ireland's premier fashion, beauty and lifestyle glossy publication. Established in 1984, NW has consistently led the field, having won the CIPR Magazine of the Year award twice, in 1999 and 2004.
Month by month, NW strives to be of an unfailingly high standard. Our watchword is quality, from the very first to the very last page; and, for every single issue, we start by sourcing eye-catching cover images that will embody the heart of the magazine, capturing the reader's interest from the outset, and drawing them in. Once inside, editorial features each month comprise an exciting mix of light-hearted composition, serious topical issues and investigative reporting. Unlike many fashion, beauty and lifestyle publications, we operate a 'no bullshit' policy and at all times aim to both entertain and challenge our readership. We feel that Northern Woman manages to strike the perfect balance of local and national coverage, celebrity and real-life content. We believe that NW's real selling point, though, lies in the fact that there simply is no other publication of local origin which provides the same levels of value for money, variety and, ultimately, pure quality.
Northern Woman prides itself on its innovative design, in which both editorial and advertising copy is presented in a clean, stylish, inviting and easy-to-read format.

In 2004 it was decided that NW should enter a new era in its publication, producing two bumper double issues for the Summer and Festive periods. These two alternative editions were both published in the hugely popular 'handbag size' - an inspired move by the Northern Woman team, which has since paid dividends.
Over the years, Northern Woman has also maintained its portfolio of reader events. To date, the magazine has been responsible for successful events within the fields of literature, fashion, health and beauty and, of course, pure fun. We feel, for the ongoing development of the publication, that it is imperative we maintain a community spirit, providing our readers with the opportunity to become personally involved. As a direct result, Northern Woman magazine remains as popular today as it was upon its conception all those years ago.
